What Is Crystal Lake About?
Long before the masked killer, there was a mother. The series follows Pamela Voorhees, a former singer working as a camp cook, through the year after her son Jason's drowning — and the conspiracy (Project Argonaut, run by the Bellflower corporation) that made her boy impossible to kill. It's a psychological drama first and a slasher prequel second, and the season ends by walking Pamela to the exact doorstep of the 1980 movie.
